One of my favorite types of readings I offer is finding a person's animal totems.

There are different methods as well as different beliefs as to how many a person has.

I found Jamie Sams/David Carson's method so helpful in my own life. There are 9 totems altogether. Two of them are your main totems representing your male and female sides. These you discover without the cards. Often, people know at least one of them.

The other 7 represent different aspects of your self and even time periods. They are connected to the directions East, South, West, North, Above, Below, and Within.

I pulled mine years ago when I was working at a mall in Nova Scotia as a reader. Michael and I rented a table there. I was surprised by some of them, particularly the moose, but decided to work with them and see if they were true teachers.

That was decades ago. They all fit me and still help me. I, in turn, do my best to help them when I can as totems are relationships.
