My pile of journals from the 1980's. I am (oddly) enjoying reading them.

Sometimes my handwriting is atrocious, like here.

During that time, I struggled with my body image, often thinking I was over weight when I was not. Still, I did have some unhealthy food habits, using sweet foods and bread whenever I was emotionally distraught (which was frequent then as I went through a lot of loss and death.) I succeeded at overcoming this habit through awareness and discipline.

The excerpt with the dialogue is a transcription of a reading I got from Marion Starnes who was quite well-known in my neighborhood. She gave me some excellent advice and encouragement, as well as spoke on a more spiritual level. Several of her long-term predictions came to pass. I had actually forgotten that she thought I would become extremely psychic in my life. Probably thought she said "psychotic!"😃 Like many people, she thought writing was my strong suit.

I may go back to using spiral notebooks as they flatten so nicely when writing in them.

By letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try. The world is beyond the winning.
